Sold May 2025
Bugs Update: Bugs was sold as a brood mare. I am so happy to share that in early 2025, Bugs had her first baby!
Duck Dancin Diva
2011 15.1hh Sorrel mare by Bugatti Special (son of Special Effort) out of Top of the Dash who is by Triple Dash.
Bugs is easy to be around, hauls great, eats and drinks on the road, not mareish. Sweetest girl there is on the ground. Would make an excellent broodmare. Easy keeper. Excellent feet. Barefoot. Gets along with everyone. Outside 24/7.
We bought her to be my step up jumper and barrel horse but we found out she had some issues from a previous injury that aren’t conducive for a 12 year old to be riding daily. She can still be ridden and run, but only with an experienced rider and with extreme caution. Will disclose all X-rays and background to serious buyers.
We want a good home for this special girl.
Making Lemonade out of Lemons
Bugs taught me the importance of transparency when selling a horse. We were still somewhat new to horse buying and fully trusted the seller to place a kid safe horse with a kid. This was not the case with Bugs.
During a fun show, I was running poles, but Bugs refused to stop on the way home. She jumped the fence at the end of the alleyway, ran head on into the volunteer, which caused the volunteer to go flying through the air, gave her a major concussion, and placed her in the hospital for weeks. I for a few minutes, I thought Bugs had killed the volunteer. It was one of the worst moments of my life.
Because of this experience, I will always disclose everything about every horse I sell. It's important to me that the right horse is placed in the right home for the right purpose with the right skill level. I never want anyone to experience what I did with Bugs.
